Nearly half a century after his death, however, Strayhorn's musical genius remains unrecognized. Now, the mystery behind the complex life of this pioneering composer, arranger and pianist gets uncovered, bringing his rich legacy to light. BILLY STRAYHORN: LUSH LIFE premieres Tuesday, February 6 on Independent Lens, a weekly series airing on PBS.
